Erectile Worries?

For most men they will suffer with this issue at least once in their lifetime, for others it may become a persistent thing, but what is really going on?

We all know that for men heart healthy is penis healthy, and even though you may be in really good shape physically, you may still have issues.

I want to explain a case study and see if this is within you.

A client came to see me with erectile issues and he had tried all the prescription medication the doctor had given him but he just wasn't comfortable taking pills, he knew it was a temporary fix but wasn't actually getting to the root of the issue, so he came to me for help.

He told me that he had always had issues but they had become more severe in the last few months and he was understandably concerned.

After the intake we got to the cause of the problem.

When he was 14 his mom caught him in his bedroom, doing what most 14 year old's do, he was so embarrassed but what was interesting was his moms reaction.

She shouted at him, called the whole family to his room and he was told that he was dirty, bad, disgusting and gross.

Apart from being horrified at being caught, his mom's reaction taught him that any thing to do with his penis was a bad thing, and in fact he was dirty for even thinking about "that kind of thing"

So he struggled with his emotions for the longest time, it seemed he had been able to overcome the issue, but the past two months it had returned and he did not know why.

He told me he had recently started dating a new lady and he was hopeful she was "the one" I asked him who does she remind you of?

My mom he answered!

Ah ha! There we have it, she reminds you of your mom so naturally when you are together all the shame and guilt comes back to you, no wonder there has been an issue.

So after uncovering this event and processing it through he is very happy indeed and able to really enjoy his new relationship with his girlfriend.

So if you have events you wonder about, think about the above case study, is this also inside of you?

If you are shy and don't feel you can sit in front of someone and talk about this sensitive issue, I have made a MP3 recording for erectile difficulties which may help.

HYPNOSIS….FOR CHILDBIRTH?!?

September 25, 2012 in DAILY NEWS
It goes without saying that many women find the thought of childbirth a little…well…terrifying and the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control revealed that about 60% of women who gave birth in 2008 received drugs (epidural) to ease the pain.
But the word on the street is that women in the Twin Cities are using a birthing method that may result in less pain and doesn’t include drugs. Wow.
KSTP reports on the method called, “hypnobirthing,” and it’s growing in popularity.
Now, when you think of hypnosis, there’s a good chance your vision includes some person swinging a pocket watch and making someone fall into a trance; but that’s not what hypnobirthing is about.  The technique promises a calm and comfortable birth including soft music… and only the use “four letter-word” used in the delivery room is calm.
Certified hypnotherapist, Megan Titcomb has delivered at least two children using this process.  “Most of the couples that choose to take the class usually have some sort of fear about pain or childbirth itself,” says Titcomb.  But she says birth can happen gently and easily.   She says it all starts with reducing fear, which happens by changing the terminology that’s associated with childbirth.
A contraction is called a surge or wave.  The term “due date” is replaced with “birthing time,” and “water breaking” is called the “membranes releasing.”  Additionally, women and their labor companions learn how to say no to drugs.  “Hypnobirthing,” Titcomb continues, “doesn’t teach that drugs aren’t an option; it’s just that most people who take a natural childbirth class are hoping for a natural childbirth.”
Birth centers in the metro along with most area hospitals approve of the method, including St. Joseph’s Hospital, which is known as a ‘hypnobirthing friendly facility.’  Would you do it?

The truth about Hypnosis

Learn the Truth about Hypnosis

Hypnosis is documented to have been used for over 3,000 years. The first known cure was by a temple priest.
The priest induced sleep, laid on hands and cured a conversion order (hysterical conversion).

Probably the most recognized name in Hypnosis is that of Dr. Franz Anton Messmer. Hence the term Messmerized.

Therapeutic Hypnosis is proven the most effective and fastest route to solve emotional issues (which are usually the source of physical problems).

American Health magazine reported the following findings from a recent study:
• Psychoanalysis: 38 percent recovery after 600 sessions.
• Behavior Therapy: (over-eating-smoking-addictions –stress –anxiety-) 72 percent after 22 sessions.
• Hypnotherapy: 93 percent recovery after six sessions.

Hypnosis is a powerful tool for weight loss — smoking cessation — anxiety and stress control.

Hypnosis works through suggestions to the sub-conscious mind. In a professional setting the Hypnocounsellor will lead you through a relaxation process, in which you will be totally aware of your surroundings but in a very relaxed state of mind and body.

You are not asleep, but feeling very relaxed, calm, and peaceful. In this relaxed state your conscious mind is aware and alert, but your subconscious mind comes to the forefront and is now open to the positive suggestions the Hypnocounsellor gives it in relation to the problems you are facing.

These positive suggestions will stay in your mind and will, in a positive manner, influence you in your choices and behaviors.
Your subconscious mind will always protect you and is only interested in your highest good, therefore you will never do anything under hypnosis that you would not do normally.

Hypnosis has been misunderstood by many because of what is called “stage hypnosis.” With stage hypnosis the volunteer is ready and agreeable to follow the Hypnotists instructions.

They have mentally agreed beforehand by volunteering to participate in a harmless exhibition, knowing full well what the outcome might be. There again, the subconscious mind realizes that there is no danger to it and allows it.

If you have been struggling with weight loss, or smoking cessation or problems with stress or anxiety Hypnosis may be the answer you are looking for.

Watch the Watch!

“You’re getting sleepy…Very, very sleepy…focus on the watch…”
For many, when they hear the word “hypnotist,” what comes to mind is an old movie or TV show.
In reality, hypnosis performed by a certified clinical hypnotist can help people who suffer from chronic pain, crippling phobias, or even the reduction of side effects felt by some going through cancer treatments.
Dr. Zastrow, a family practitioner at Hugh Chatham Family Practice, will be speaking on the subject at a lunch and learn event on Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Medical Conference Room at the hospital. This event is open to the public, and it is opened on a first-come, first-served basis.
Those who want to schedule an appointment with Dr. Zastrow can call (336) 526-2307.
As a teenager, Dr. Joseph Zastrow, now a family practitioner at Hugh Chatham Family Practice in Elkin, first experienced the positive power of hypnosis through his younger brother. Dr. Zastrow’s brother suffered from a developmental bone disease, and could not tolerate pain medications. After he had his wisdom teeth removed, a certified clinical hypnotist relieved his pain and taught him self hypnosis. With future medical procedures that followed, Dr. Zastrow’s brother relied on hypnosis to reduce pain to the point that only Tylenol was needed to alleviate what little pain he had.
With clinical hypnosis, a therapist can make suggestions designed to help one formulate specific internal processes (feelings, memories, images and internal self-talk) that can lead to a pre-determined outcome, such as experiencing less pain, overcoming fears, and so on.
Hypnosis is described as a state of inner absorption, concentration and focused attention. An analogy is like using a magnifying glass to focus the rays of the sun and make them more powerful. Similarly, when your mind is concentrated and focused, you are able to use it in powerful, positive ways, such as reducing pain, or warding off fear.

After practicing family medicine for a number of years, Dr. Zastrow took the opportunity to become a certified clinical hypnotist in 2000 from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH). “It’s pretty extensive training process that includes a total of 60 hours of classroom time and monitored training,” he said. “The society restricts training to psychologists and other health professionals such as physicians, dentists and masters degree-level nurses, social workers, and therapists. Clinical hypnosis is only to be used in conformance with ASCH’s own training and licensing laws.” Today, ASCH has 1,700 members, and Dr. Zastrow is the Society’s president.
Once certified, Dr. Zastrow incorporated hypnosis into his care regimen for many of his patients.
“The reality is that hypnosis isn’t really putting people in a ‘trance.’ I serve more as a coach to help people focus attention on what is ailing them, so to speak,” Dr. Zastrow said.
As an example, Dr. Zastrow recently had a patient who had an enormous fear of needles. “She desperately needed a procedure done to preserve her health, but her phobia of needles was greater than her need to get well. After one session we got to the bottom of what her fear stemmed from, and she called me from the recovery room after her procedure to let me know she got through it. She even went on to get a flu shot!”
Beside the absolute care of patients, Dr. Zastrow has accomplished research. He even had the opportunity to see what the mind can do with a study of a NASCAR pit crew.
“Pit crews are all about precision and speed. The slightest distraction can cause things to go wrong very quickly. With one team, I saw through video how some of the guys were slipping up. After a few sessions of hypnosis, we helped them gain focus, speed and consistency. As an example, one guy was having trouble getting the second lug nut on correctly every time. After hypnosis, he never missed.”
Research has demonstrated that hypnosis can help a lot of people in a number of ways, including:
Treatment of chronic pain conditions from injuries or arthritis.
Reduction of pain during childbirth.
Reduction of nausea and vomiting by cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
Elimination or reduction of skin conditions, such as warts. (Ever hear the saying “talk the warts off”?)
Alleviation of symptoms associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
Common myths about hypnosis are that you won’t remember anything, or that it leads to memory enhancement, that you could be made to do something you don’t want to, or that your actions can be controlled under hypnosis, Zastrow says.
“The myths are just that…myths,” Dr. Zastrow said. “The mind is a very powerful thing. Through hypnosis, you can achieve some incredible things. I’ve seen it work, and that’s all the proof most need.”

How to get the most out of your study time!

The world we now live in is a faster more hectic pace than when I was at school, it seems these days the world demands a whole lot more than we are sometimes able to give.

With after school activities the school day for our children seems to be getting longer.

So what can we do to help ease the worry and stress ?

Hypnosis and Cancer Patients

Being a Clinical Hypnotherapist I am able to deal with medical conditions with the referral of a Doctor.

We can treat the side effects of Chemotherapy on a patient, by using a Control Room we can reduce all the symptoms effectively, helping the client to move through this difficult phase of treatment.

But did you know we can also uncover the actual cause of the cancer in a patient?

We all have the cancer cells in our bodies, which is a scary prospect, but for some people cancer is never an issue, for others it is something they just can't seem to shake.

Why is this ? How does it happen?

Our sub conscious mind can be adversely affected by experiences in life, sometimes if severe enough we will go into fight or flight mode, when this happens two things can happen, the immune system can be compromised because it simply can't be without oxygen for a split second also the Digestive tract can be compromised in the same way.

This can lead to a normal healthy body to become succeptible to Cancers and other issues.

For me if I have a client come for the side effects for Chemotherapy I also strongly advise a session to uncover and deal completely with the underlying cause of the cancer.

I have seen in the 10 years I have been in this field many women who have lived a period of life in an abusive household, to find they finally managed to get out, only to have a few years later for them to suffer with this disease, this is so unfair after everything they have been through, but I do now understand why it happens, but know there is something else that can be done.

So if someone you love or care about is going through this difficult time, let them know about this post, conduct research and give them the information. Or repost this information as you see fit.

You really could be saving a life.

Hypnotic amnesia ? What's that ?

I have been asked on many occasions "Can you erase a part of my life I am trying to forget?" The answer is it is possible for me to facilitate amnesia, but it is unethical for a Hypnotherapist to do so.

We are who we are because of what we have been through good and bad, if we were to go back and remove the memories it would have a detrimental effect on your emotional state.

you would still have the undesired effects and feelings you had, simply put you wouldn't know where these were coming from. It would cause you to suffer anxiety, you would experience a feeling of being lost and confused. Our thoughts, emotions and experiences are the foundation of who we are, to remove these important blocks would cause unsteady foundations and would risk the client from a future of more insecurity and suffering.

If we have issues in the past the only way to deal with them is to have Hypnotherapy and resolve the issues, heal the relationships that were hurt and bring about healing, allowing the client to be able to move forward, but having gained strength from the experience.

I was once asked can you delete my childhood because it was not a happy time, after explaining the pitfalls, they agreed to deal with the issues head on and is now able to live a happy peaceful life.

So if you have pain in your past, you do not have to suffer, call me today 407-494-3578
